Clarinetist and Educator

Todd Brunel is an innovative, critically acclaimed clarinetist and educator who leads a dual life as a cross-over classical and jazz musician. "Tremendous virtuosity and heart" -- Boston Globe. Mr. Brunel has made guest appearances at Carnegie Hall, The International Woodwind Festival, the Montreal Jazz Festival, the SEAMUS Festival, the National Black Arts Festival and Preservation Jazz Hall in New Orleans. He is a founding member of The Rivera Brunel Method, Musaner, the Circadian Rhythm Kings and continues to collaborate with the Bristol Chamber Orchestra, ALEA III, The Bulgarian Virtuosi, and Opera Ebony of Harlem. He has premiered works by numerous composers and has premiered his own compositions in Bulgaria, at The Academy of Music Dance and Art, The Boston Conservatory, Boston University and Dartmouth College. His 'Vortex' series for new and improvised music is a frequent 'Pick of the week' at both the Boston Globe and Boston Phoenix. Mr. Brunel holds an MM from the Brooklyn College Conservatory and a BM from the Boston Conservatory of Music.
